Midian Oleamidopropyl Betaine(OAB) is mainly used in shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, liquid soaps and hair-care formulations. It acts as a co-surfactant, foam booster, viscosity builder and conditioning agent, helping improve foam quality, formulation viscosity and the sensory properties of skin and hair in personal care products.
Midian OAB also has important applications in oilfield chemicals. Under acidic conditions, it can form wormlike micelles and viscoelastic structures, resulting in a rapid increase in fluid viscosity. Therefore, it can be used as a viscoelastic surfactant (VES), acidizing-fluid thickener, self-diverting acid agent and component of clean fracturing fluids.
